Abstract | O Pantanal é uma das maiores planícies sujeitas a inundações do mundo, sendo drenado pelo alto curso do rio Paraguai e seus afluentes. Sendo assim, o objetivo deste trabalho é comparar a variação do albedo para a área inundada da bacia hidrográfica do Rio Taquari (MS), nas estações seca e chuvosa, e verificar a variabilidade sazonal destas mudanças. Para se obter os valores de albedo de superfície, as bandas espectrais provenientes do sensor TM (Thematic Mapper) a bordo do satélite Landsat 5 foram submetidas ao processo de correção atmosférica pelo modelo Second Simulation of the Satellite Signal in the Solar Spectrum (6S) e ao processo de normalização radiométrica. Na estação seca, os locais que apresentam menor valor de albedo são as áreas permanentemente alagadas, apresentando variações interanuais entre 5% e 10% para áreas florestais e savanas. Na estação chuvosa, os valores de albedo sofrem uma variação superior a 10%, relacionada com a submersão de grandes áreas de savana. A alteração nos valores de albedo modifica o balanço de energia na superfície e os fluxos de calor latente e sensível, ocasionando a alteração do clima local e regional. ABSTRACT: The Pantanal is one of the largest flood plains in the world, being drained by Paraguay River and its tributaries. Then the objective of this work is to compare the variation of the albedo for the flooded area of the Taquari River Basin, located in Mato Grosso do Sul State, in the dry and rainy seasons, and to verify the seasonal variability of these changes. To obtain surface albedo values, the spectral bands of Thematic Mapper (TM) sensor onboard of Landsat 5 satellite were submitted to the atmospheric correction using the Second Simulation of the Satellite Signal in the Solar Spectrum (6S) transfer model and to the radiometric rectification procedures. In dry season, permanent flooded areas showed the lowest albedo values, presenting interannual variation between 5% and 10% for forest and savannah areas. In rainy season, due to the immersions of large areas of savannah, the albedo values suffer a variation greater than 10%. The change in interannual albedo values modifies the surface energy balance and the latent and sensible heat flows, altering the local and regional climate. |
